Aphid Battle

I bought some Pansies back in November from Lowes. I thought they were nice, but they were dry and on sale because they were clearing out their plants. I thought they would do fine in the greenhouse with
some TLC. Well, they did pick right up and starting looking great.

some TLC. Well, they did pick right up and starting looking great. In late December I noticed something awful. The plants started to look droopy again. I thought maybe I had started to overwater so I stopped watering for a few days and they did not recover. I then figured out why.

The beautiful plants were being attacked with APHIDS. I sprayed some organic pesticieds on the plants and they seemed to double over night. I moved them to anothert room so the aphids could not spread to my other plants. I repotted all and gave each plant a bath in water/vegetable mix. This seemed to work. The aphids were gone. I left them on friday. On Monday I returned and the aphids were back. Sadly two weeks ago I decided that the plants were beyond hope and I added them
and their soil to the composter. This was truly a sad day for the greenhouse.
